Alex ThebergeAlex is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has worked in the mental health field for the past 8 years. Previously, he was the Program Manager at UCSF Langley Porter’s Partial Hospitalization Program, where he also worked as a staff therapist. Alex blends a Psychodynamic approach with Mindfulness-based practice, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) strategies. Alex’s areas of expertise include depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and LGBT clients.  As a bilingual/bicultural Latino, he is sensitive to the needs of Latino clients and enjoys conducting therapy in Spanish. Alex has a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Columbia University and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University.


Brooke Pomerantz, LCSW (415) 832-0767

Brook PomerantzBrooke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who offers an integrated approach to psychotherapy drawing on Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Psychoanalytic, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Mindfulness-based orientations and practices. Her approach is nonjudgmental and supportive, helping clients improve self-awareness, develop insight, and learn new ways of coping with life stressors to facilitate healing and growth. Since receiving her Masters in Social Work and Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University in 2001, Brooke has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of outpatient and hospital-based clinical settings. For the past three years, Brooke has been a clinician at the UCSF/Langley Porter Partial Hospitalization Program providing individual, group, family therapy as well as clinical case management.
